We are so pleased to see that our government’s hard work and negotiations have paid off and that 130 Canadians crossed the Gaza-Egypt border at Rafah – last night. Bringing Canadians in Gaza home, combatting division and hate here in Canada, ensuring humanitarian aid reaches Palestinians and civilian deaths are minimized, seeing hostages released and working towards a cease-fire and long-term peace between Israelis and Palestinians are all important goals for us to pursue to end this continuing cycle of violence. As Albert Einstein said, “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again but expecting different results.” Let’s end this insanity.
