The riding I represent is situated on the traditional territories of the Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Anishinaabe Peoples, and is covered by Treaty 13 and the Williams treaties. We are privileged and grateful to share this part of Turtle Island.
June is Indigenous History Month and June 21 is Indigenous People’s Day.In May we observe Red Dress Day. September 30 is Truth and Reconciliation Day and Orange Shirt Day.But these are just dates, unless we commit ourselves to ensure the future is different than the past - because we choose to change.
